“This is an example of trying to do too much at the same time—one source of Momnesia for sure! Over the weekend I was rushing to get a load of laundry going, but I was also watching my one-year-old son. We were in the garage, and I saw him start heading toward the driveway.
I just threw the laundry in, pushed the button, and ran after him so he wouldn’t wander into the street. Later, as I removed the clothes from the washer, I realized that I had accidentally thrown my brand new tank top (DELICATE CYCLE ONLY! COLD WATER!) in with my husband’s work-out clothes. That poor tank top suffered through a 90-minute ‘sanitary’ cycle, i.e. scalding hot; heavy soil; super spin. It didn’t fare well.
So now, in addition to more laundry, I have a new to-do item: Buy another tank top.”
My friend's momnesia also caused the shrinkage of my favorite (expensive) sweater. My other friend's 2-year-old ended up wearing my adorable Anthropologie sweater for their Christmas pictures!
